Love On The Run has had a busy 2014 with eclectic DJ sets in London, Leeds, Chicago, Montreal, LA and NYC, spinning deeper shades of Disco and Soul. Love On The Run’s lifelong obsession with club music and DJ’ing began in his native New York City during its notorious late ‘80s and early ‘90s. This wild era of NYC nightlife left such an impact on him, he spent the next 20+ years completely immersed in Deep House and Disco culture buying vinyl, working in record stores, labels, vinyl distributors, promoting underground parties and DJ’ing both locally and eventually abroad from London to Moscow. While working at Satellite Record store during the ‘90s he cemented his reputation for having a keen ear with many of NYC’s DJs and industry insiders for breaking new sounds behind the scenes. Never satisfied with the status quo, his quest to unearth quality new tunes eventually led him to explore new avenues throughout the city’s cultural melting pot, digging both deeper and in less expected places than the majority of his peers. This endless search had led him to dingy basements, moldy garages, defunct shops, homes of strangers and more odd venues in the pursuit of eclectic vinyl. His musical ethos combined with DJ sets at his intimate club nights from the ‘90s throughout 2000s have earned him loyal fans, and through his edits, mixes, radio shows, secret vinyl societies and “Secret Rendezvous” blog, his taste and passion for sharing great unheard music has earned him the respect of listeners around the globe today. This is only expected to grow with his upcoming compilation series and private reissue record label slated for the end of the year. This Thursday marks his second visit to Chicago this year to play along side the Disco Illusion crew.

Question on an old post. You had picture of old mixtapes. I have a huge collection and lost the covers for Spictakular - hip hop essence and G Bo the Pro vol 20. Any chance we could trade scans or tapes or I will buy a copy of the cover? Let me know.
