Gladys Knight - It's A Better Than Good Time (Walter Gibbons unreleased Acetate Edit)

In my opinion this is the shiniest jewel in the glorious crown that Walter wears while DJ'ing that big club in the sky. I won't back away from hyperbole as this is truly one of the greatest Disco mixes of all time. Spliced with tape, this astonishing mix is equally lush with orchestration and Gladys' vocals, as much as it is explosive with its drum breaks and breakdowns. This mix serves as a testament to the visionary talents of Walter Gibbons and the endless possibilities within this craft of Disco mixing and editing. If necessity is the mother of invention, then convenience is the father of mediocrity. I hope this spliced work of art serves as inspiration for all the hacks out there with a laptop looping intro "edits" of Disco records. This is how you stretch a tune out the right way. If you don't know by now, you better snatch one of these up and learn. I'm surprised there are still a couple of copies available on the net. This is a super limited vinyl pressing remastered from the ultra rare acetate where you'll get the full 12 minutes of 12" Disco glory you've always deserved from the master Walter Gibbons. Sleep and weep...

P.S. The grapevine tells me to expect more from this label with another raw unreleased version of another NYC heavy Disco classic coming soon. Sleep and weep, cause once people catch on it's a wrap.
