We all had a blast, dropping Reggae, Afro-Caribbean Funk, to Soul, Disco and Deep House through the night. Special shouts to my DJ partner for the evening, Phil Mossman of LCD Soundsystem fame, now working on his new project Fall On Your Sword. Check for it!

Mcboingboing and I (Love On The Run) were honored to have been able to play the official party for the cast and friends of Fela the Musical. We got to spin our usual Tropical Heatwave style of vintage Afro-Caribbean tunes, all vinyl, and plenty of dancefloor madness! At one point part of the crowd was doing the bus stop to The Revolution of St. Vincent "The Little You Say", and Manu Dibango's classic "New Bell", and it was a sight to be seen. It was hotter than hell at In The Modern Room in Brooklyn last week, and needless to say the party was an absolute blast! The crowd was up for it, and the DJs delivered the soul that the crowd was thirsty for. Brad dropped heaters from his cult classic mixtapes, Asaf dropped heaters that will be on your want list next year, and Josh Dunn AKA Fox 50 dropped some Foreal People and 100 Limousine style gems that had us going deep into the AM.
