Common ground for hip-hop heads and dancers, "Far Out" by Crown Heights Affair was used for the interlude outro of "All the Places" by Pete Rock & CL Smooth, and has been a heavy underground anthem on club dancefloors around the world for several decades. I'm packing my bag with this one for Saturday, something to putcha weight into!

The Joy of 2nd Hand Records
I am not even sure if this is the right sleeve for this record based on the instructions.
Regardless, the previous DJ's notes are as follows:
"never underestimate the
power of a woman"
*110 funk & break
from middle on thru
break.
it won't say
"woman" till
right after
break.
fill blank
in replay
if you cut
out the
last word of
the sentence
bside is a
slow tune
-----------------------------------thanks for the advice!

Ladies of the 80's - Tell Him
This one is for the ladies.
Look out boys, these Ladies know what they want, and they'll tell you too.
This is a monster tune, and a classic album on the rare groove scene. The Eighties Ladies are Susan Beaubian, Marva Hicks, Vivian Prince, Denie Corbett and favorite Sylvia Striplin. And of course the production is by Roy Ayers.

Putcha Weight on It! - Saturday in Brooklyn
Come putcha weight on it! this Saturday in BK!
Extra super duper props to Beau for a fantastic flyer. For the record, back in the day Beau and I used to be in a DJ crew together called "Funk Fiends". He was actually the DJ that explained how to beat match to me, and he is also one of the most gifted mixers I have ever heard in my life. It's nice to be playing all night together again after all these years. Thanks for making this one happen Beau!
