Chairman Mao & DJMuro - Run for Cover II
Mighty Mo & The Winchester Seven - The Next Message
I picked this up yesterday. Tap into your inner b-boy, this record is tuff as shit.
Mystic Merlin - Just can't give you up
OK I am hyped after today's swearing in of Obama. And now combining that excitement and joy along with hearing this song makes me want to start Foreal People up again. OK, if anyone knows of a good venue that needs a new night, let us know. Holla: djloveontherun@gmail.com We need to celebrate.

Darondo - Wish You Were Here b/w Didn't I
More amazing footage courtesy of Ubiquity Records.
I was amazed to find out some friends of mine still have not heard this tune. This one is COLD.

Eugene Blacknell - Alternate Footage + Previously Unreleased LP
I rate this previously unreleased LP highly. Apparently Eugene never released a full album. The album has choice cuts from different eras, as well as unreleased tunes, and rarities such as radio spots he did for local club shows. This montage of footage and LP clips is fantastic as well. I hope this inspires you to pick up the LP, and hopefully you enjoy it as much as I do.
Straight from the Ubiquity Records camp:
This video features rare vintage footage from 1960s/70s of Eugene Blacknell and his band in the city of Oakland and surrounding areas.
Oakland guitar ace Eugene Blacknell released multiple singles that ranged in style from raw r'n'b to power house funk. His musical career stretched from the early 1960s to the end of the 1980s and during that time he established himself as an East Bay original, an entrepreneur, an activist, and a family man. With so many accomplishments it's an irony of fate that he died before releasing an album despite having recorded enough material for several. This will be the first official Eugene Blacknell album, and the story of a Bay Area legend.

Mighty Ryeders - Evil Vibrations
This is a fantastic feel good tune right here. This tune has gotten a lot of burn from me over the years, and yes, some of you may recognize this as the sample source for De La Soul's classic "A Roller Skating Jam Named Saturdays".

Music to tuck myself into bed to
This LP is genius, and this tune is just so right. Arthur is always on my ipod when I am winding down...
